Seems to have sidemarker part of the indicator assembly with old style taillight with missing red retroreflector, so 1971/72 Volkswagen Sedan 'Super Beetle'. |

Super beetle. I agree. I see texas yellow L10B. 1972. |

Yes, 1302, but "texasgelb" looks bleached over the years... |

For me it's rather bleeched "sunyellow", as old "texasyellow" has more a touch of curry-colour. And it was available for the model-years 1972 and 1973, not later - so I think, although the front screen is not really visible, it's rather a 1974 1303-based Super Beetle in "sunyellow" 2x texasyellow on one pic: |

Ingo, its a 02 series super beetle, sure not a 03, flat windsreen and 02 backlights are visible, the colour is bleeched anyway, for me not possible to say if its "texas" or "sunny", but i got some thing about the bug/käfer/beetle..., has anybody seen this kind of special edition before? http://www.moby302.co.za/vw_audi/vw_beetle_fun_bug_1974.GIF |

Never seen before. Even the name "1600 L" was never used here. The back elephant-foot-lamps are different either. It seems a special model only for Australia - surely built in Down Under, or? In the 70ies VW had an assembly plant there, for sure the made the Beetle, the T2 and the Golf I there. About other models I don't know. |

Not totally original, but the vents were upgraded for 1972. Rather list as 1971 |
