Mid-line trim and script on the front fender at the last thumbnail does indicates 1971 Chevrolet Bel Air.

1974 Bel Air. Note the large front bumper profile. The front markers wrapped around the fenders on both the 1971 & 1974 models. The dual unit tail lights are in a gray plastic surround like the 1974+ style, not the body-color metal like a 1971. Note the shoulder belts, new for '74 retractable type attached to the headrest clip. Hubcaps were the new annodized aluminum style for 1974.

Sorry, Cdncarspotter. :/ The taillight is different from 1974/75 model year from this specimen.

Dad bought a new 1974 Biscayne, Canadian-built. I remember these cars and this generation when new. I stand by what I say regarding the details that I feel make the picture a 1974 model. Hubcaps. Shoulder belts that clip into the headrests (new for '74). Plastic, silver tail light panel. Large front bumper. The 1971 models DO have the wrap around front markers, but the big bumpers, silver tail light area, plus 1974+ hubcaps (and the shoulder belts) make it clear to me that the picture is of a 1974 model, not a 1971. They are close, for sure! Heres is a picture of dad's 1974 Biscayne: http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/download.spark?ID=1224380&aBID=118110 . Next, a 1971 back shot: Link to "files.activeboard.com" . This is of a Canada-only 1971 Bel Air Sport Coupe. The back panel is shared between all Biscayne & Bel Air models for 1971.

These cars are not collector favorites, but I am addimant in what I saw. I grew up in that era, which does not necessarily make me right. I do invite anyone to scrutinize the shots and make their own conclusions.
