I don't know what this is yet but it is not a bull-dozer - it has no blade. It is set up for towing and reeling in cable - maybe in a logging operation?

I tend to say Allis Chalmers

noticed the curbed side panel, fuel tank shape wish the chassis was more visible

Robert Vanetta about this thing, adminsitrator if the log loaders site so this is an Alis Chalmers

Quote The curved side panel is characteristic of the Allis chalmers Dozer: See http://www.vannattabros.com/10-1/ac21_2.jpg
I think I can even see the bolt in the photo that holds the nose piece. This would be likely as Allis Chalmers HD-21-A model.
there is precious little to go by, but the battery boxes beside the seat you can see and also the rear air cleaner.

The lack of a canopy doesn't mean much as those were after market items in the early 1950's. The low blade on the front
suggests an angle dozer, and what I suspect are lights on the back make me think Military, as the Army engineers liked
lights, and angle dozers. The lack of brand name markings suggests to me that it is Olive Drab in Color or badly repainted
after the military surplused it. Even the wire spool is consistent with some vision of the Army unrolling communications wire
through a jungle or other place that vehicle with wheels couldn't go.

Seems to be shaped Allis-Chalmers. Could call it HD-Series.
