@ingo: Yes, you´re absolutely right, there are a lot of pseudo-SUV´s like VW Cross Golf, VW Cross Polo, VW Cross Touran, Ford Fusion Calero, Skoda Octavia Scout, Skoda Roomster Scout, Skoda Fabia Scout, Hyundai Getz Cross or the Renault Scénic Conquest. And there are all FWD except the Octavia Scout. But there´s another problem, because every "SUV" on the market is quite good onroad, but not offroad. Mmmmhhh, I know. My wife thinks more and more, to buy one: /vehicle_346217-Mitsubishi-ASX-2010.html Last Saturday we even went to our local Mitsubitsu-dealer to make a test-seating. Seems to be not bad, but it's really narrow inside, not appropriate for a car of this size. Anyways, it's her decision and her money. I just take a note of it, not more. It's not possible for me to find any interest in any modern car (modern = 1977+ ). I'll think about a new all-day-car, when my Omega is finally pegged out. Fortunately I don't have to drive any more 130km per day again, so I can look around for something more freaky. |

Well, the ASX is not so bad actually, it has got a really good diesel engine with 150 hp. IMO, in this class are the best cars: Ford Kuga, Skoda Yeti, BMW X1/X3, Audi Q5 and LR Freelander |

I saw a BMW X3 (The new one today) it threw me as I couldn't work out what it was. At first I thought it was an X5 or an X1. A few seconds later I saw a Lotus Elan M100 (In the precise colour and spec I would like one). A far greater beauty. The German car companies are getting especially bad (esp Audi and BMW) for building a lot of cars that look very similar. I'm slowly starting to lose interest in newer cars. |

It's written in the motor-magazines, that the Amarok shall come to Europe, maybe next year. If it will be such a big success in South America, that the plant in Argentina is fully engaged, it shall be built in the Transporter-plant in Hannover. |

@ingo: Well, I don´t want to convince somebody to buy an actual car, because every person should buy this what he wants. I really like classic-cars, too. But I´m more interested in the hi-tech of new cars. |

Sorry for the direct speech, but hi-tech is the absolute shit. You'll discover it, when the hi-tech in the car, you may will have in the future, will be broken. "Hi-tech" for me is everything, which you cannot repair with your household-tool-box by yourself or with the help of friends in the backyard. It makes you sick, if even one of all these little hi-tech-helpers in your car (which mostly are redundant just for the simple movement, but have to be working, because otherwise nothing else will work) are broken and you have to go to the fucking expensive contract-garage (because only they have the technology to test and repair this specific hi-tech). Just a defect injection-system will cost more money, than you will earn per month (as a real employee, not as an apprentice), even if you can organize it by connections for a friend's price. I really recommend to buy some low-tech car, which you can overrule by your own. So you will have the chance to save some of your apprentice-wage for something else than cars, for example vacations abroad. Just ask cl82, how satisfied he is with his old Polo |

Oh, really? It's already not in the actual range: http://www.volkswagen.de/de/models.html Next weekend my wife will have a look at our local dealer for the Tiguan, just for comparison. The last time, we had been there (she looked for an Audi A2 then), she was angry, because I shouted around "The only car, which is maybe interesting here, is not for sale!" - it was a 1970 Audi 100. Same I did, with many people around, when the local Opel-dealer had invited for the "VIP-Pre-Preview" of the new Astra - and have shown to the 1951 Opel Kapitän  She also had no appreciation last weekend at the Mitsubitsu-dealer, when I said "Have you seen the 1800 Coupé at the neighbouring Volvo-dealer?
