If main registration (HPD or HPO 250) is genuine, it is pre-1949. |

The car in the thumbnail is a different one, but they both look to me like the classic police Wolseley of fond memory, the 1939 to 1948 18/85 Series III. The 2.3 litre twin carburetter straight six giving enough power to reach 80mph, so the crooks would need at least a Humber Super Snipe or a Ford V8 to get away. |
