The one to the left is a 1991-1992 model, the one to the right is a 1992 model with 1993-1996 tailights. These are some old police cars, unless the movie is set in the past? |

According to the film’s premise, it occurs in present day, but is the result of events that happened "years ago". Its possible this is a flashback scene to those events. I suppose many of those Caprice sedans have been retired from use in police departments? Are there any PDs that might still use them? |

That scene is indeed set a few years ago. But strangely no 1992 Caprice is seen in the final movie, only 1994 models: /vehicle.php?id=377973 |
