Listed as a 1998 model on the Cinema Vehicles website: Link to "www.cinemavehicles.com" Does that make sense Neptune? |

That link says 1997. Trying out a capitalized name again? ![]() |

What the...it says 1998 on top. And on the main page inventory list it is listed as a 1998 model. I'd provide a link but that website doesn't let you link back to specific pages. I guess back to 1997 it is then ![]() |

Don't forget it's Ford Model Years, not based on reality. |

Well generally we go on model years in the US, not build date. And dsl, it's not just Ford. That's just how it's done across the board here. |

The Expedition nameplate does not include a trim level name, and the bumpers appear to have been replaced, which indicate a 17K Fleet Special Service Package. The one in the link appears suspiciously like a rear-wheel drive only. Not all-wheel drive. Also it has different wheels; I believe it to be this one: /vehicle_344470-Ford-Expedition-UN93-1997.html Perhaps they have an assortment of old government/emergency rescue/police/fire Expeditions? |

Definitely the same one. Cinema Vehicles also supplies cars for The Mentalist. And here it is again in different colors: /vehicle_100671-Ford-Expedition-UN93-1997.html |

The one thing that gives me pause is the Expedition in the main capture (here) is definitely fitted with full-time ControlTrac all-wheel drive. The front end denotes this as it sits up high. The other Expedition’s exhibit the low-slung front end, consistent with being rear-wheel drive only. There is also the matter of different alloy wheels. -- Last edit: 2011-05-31 01:49:12 |

A spokesperson from Cinema Vehicles told me that they do a lot of modifications to their vehicles across time, both interior and exterior. Just look at how they keep changing the lightbars, for example. |

Maybe its just an optical illusion, or it has the 4-corner load leveling pneumatic suspension ... |
