Lettering on deck ornament (visible,in scene when Japanese fighters hit car)says "BUICK EIGHT". Any ideas? |

Judging by the trim, it's a Buick Super 8. Specials and other high trim levels had chrome strips running down the center of the hood. |

I would like to clear up the description of this Pearl Harbor car, It is a 1941 Buick Roadmaster model 71C # 153 of 312 produced of which there are about 20 remaining. I have owned this car since 1957 ,We use the car almost daily for local parades, weddings, shows, Several cross country trips to the east coast as well as the Buick Club's National meets and many local events. The car was originally Owned by Charley Howard of Sea Bisket fame, used as a parade car for President Franklin D. Rosevelt and of course in the 2001 reliese of the WW2 movie PEARL HARBOR.
