Does anyone know how many of these there is in Sweden? I met one like this and a newer Morris Minor here in Trollhättan today when I was out driving...

Well it problobly was this one since the movie was filmed here.

Wasn't the Morris Minor also assembled in Denmark? I remember a visit in a Danish automobile museum a long time ago, where it was written.

This is an extremely early Morris Minor since it has the plate in the front bumper which was only used until stocks of bumpers built for the car's original width, which was 4" narrower than the production models, were used up. There is no indication in my books of Danish assembly, but this does not mean that kits were not sent. I did some reearch some years ago into a possible Danish partner for the assembly of armoured vehicles, and we could not find a suitable partner, so I wonder who would have put cars together in the early 1950s?

O.k, I must correct: the Minor's, which (perhaps?) could be assmbled in Denmark, were the later versions. I remember, that at trips to Denmark in the 70ies and even late 80ies, there were several Minor's to see on Danish roads.

P.S. Yes, that the earlies Minor's had the lamps in the grille, is one thing, I know about these (in Germany nearly unknown) cars. I posted my comment here, because the pic is from a Scandinavian film.

High lights in American export cars from January 1949, elsewhere from early 1951. British material supplies in those days still suffered from the shortages caused by WW2.

Probably not danish assembly for cars to Sweden, but it´s of course still possible that Denmark had assembly for them. There are still many of them on the road daily in Denmark.
