| ◊ 2006-02-08 20:05 | Elle a été aussi futuriste pour nous, français, mais pour une fois ce sont eux qui ont du retard !! |
| ◊ 2006-05-29 02:05 | On the DVD collectors edition they said this was a 1972 citroen DS-10 |
| ◊ 2006-05-29 10:46 | DS 10 ? It is a 20, 21 or 23, though I am not sure that they kept these names for the US... (but there is no info about a DS 10 on Google so it is probably not that) |
| ◊ 2006-05-29 16:01 | But that's what it is. I'm not kidding. |
| ◊ 2006-05-29 16:46 | Could be a typo for DS 19. The number is equivalent to the engine capacity. Available numbers are 19, 20, 21, and 23. |
| ◊ 2006-05-29 18:10 | Were there these new dual headlights used on DS 19 ? As they introduced the bigger engine before the new headlight style, I am not sure that they kept that small engine later. And I am not sure that there were any DS 19 sold in the USA actually. -- Last edit: 2006-05-29 18:12:11 |
| ◊ 2006-05-29 18:17 | No, that's what they said But they made a mistake, there is no reference to that model name anywhere... |
| ◊ 2006-09-14 21:42 | according to the commentary on the DVD (i am watching it now) they said this cab is SAAB based |

| ◊ 2006-09-14 23:31 | That just means that the director (or whoever was speaking) got confused about which car was which. |
| ◊ 2006-12-29 13:23 | Well, as well as someone owns the red BMW someone can also own this one .gif) |
| ◊ 2006-12-29 15:06 | i somehow hoped someone would own it and in that case rescued it from being scraped perhaps. like some other movie cars. i wonder what this DS is worth now and what the guy paid for it back then? |
| ◊ 2006-12-29 17:28 | JohnnyThunderz, thanks for a great find!!! |
| ◊ 2006-12-29 19:40 | That is awesome! It would be amamzing if someone somewhere is driving it around! |
| ◊ 2007-09-09 02:45 | I saw this car in 1996. It was based on a 1972 DSpecial (US Model) - the equivalent of a "19". The car was fine, but the movie prop elements, like the grey foam rubber at ground level, was disintegrating, and all the platic was discolored from the sun - the car had been sitting outside for 10 years. USH was planning to sell it to a memorabilia collector in Florida at that time. They had some sense of it's value. Keen detective work leads me to conclude the Aug 2004 photo is genuine (not a production still from 1986), and the car is now fully restored and living a pampered existence in Europe. Three reasons: 1. Thatched roof houses are pretty rare in the US 2. There is a clean red DS in the background indicating taken at car show 3. The car is in fully restored condition |
| ◊ 2008-10-25 19:15 | We used to own this car, and did restore it several years ago. It was shipped to Holland, and I believe that the collector had it on display at a Citroen dealership for a while - possibly still there. Here are pictures from our website after the restoration: ![http://www.screenused.com/images/bttf2/taxi/Taxifrontz.jpg [Image: Taxifrontz.jpg]](http://www.screenused.com/images/bttf2/taxi/Taxifrontz.jpg) ![http://www.screenused.com/images/bttf2/taxi/Taxifrontsidez.jpg [Image: Taxifrontsidez.jpg]](http://www.screenused.com/images/bttf2/taxi/Taxifrontsidez.jpg) ![http://www.screenused.com/images/bttf2/taxi/Taxibackz.jpg [Image: Taxibackz.jpg]](http://www.screenused.com/images/bttf2/taxi/Taxibackz.jpg) Desi www.screenused.com |
| ◊ 2008-10-25 19:31 | Nice! Thanks for sharing ... .gif) It looked better after it's restoration than it did in the movie. |
| ◊ 2011-07-27 00:46 | There is a Saab in the film: /vehicle_20254-SAAB-EV-1-1985.html |
| ◊ 2021-01-20 08:32 | The car was for some time owner by Movie Cars Central in France, then sold somewhere between 2018 and 2019 to another French collector |

| ◊ 2025-03-21 17:03 | still may be a deleted scene where old Biff goes into taxi after he grabs the almanac to follow the Delorean |
| ◊ 2025-03-21 17:13 | probably.. if i remember well, we see him climb out but we never saw him getting in.. -- Last edit: 2025-03-21 17:13:58 |
