1947-55 Chevrolet Advance-Design or GMC New Design pickup. Both trucks don't have the 1951+ door vent window, so 1947-50 models indeed. The vertical reinforcement bar visible just in front of the rear wheel arch of the main vehicle indicates either: • a long ½-ton model (GMC only. 100 as model name and 102 as model code); • a ¾-ton pickup: ∗ Chevrolet (1947-48 Thriftmaster / 1949 3600+, both with 3604 model code); ∗ GMC 150 (152 code). The Nu-Vue rear-corner windows were part of the then written De Luxe cab equipment (same writing for Chevrolet and GMC). IMCDB habits give Chevrolet as default make for small trucks of this era, when none of the 2 can be clearly identified: ⇒ 1947 Chevrolet Advance-Design De Luxe [3604] (without model name as 1947 is just a default model year) |
