He was obviously trying to reconstruct the incident when the Rolling Stones' Brian Jones drove a Roller into a swimming pool (he later drowned in his own pool, though this was a seperate incident). Keith Moon also famously drove a Lincoln Continental into a swimming pool. |

Despite the rust and disrepair, it is unfortunate that a self-professed car "enthusiast" like Clarkson woulkd destroy it. It had a perfectly nice original Connolly Vaumol hide interior which I'm sure a restorer could have used in another car. |
