A bite remarkable that they took a VW1200 for this, since it is in France it was more obvious to take a Citroën 2cv....

Yes , but how driving a Rollswagen with a 2CV ?... :D
in fact , I don't know what accessorist-company made this transformation, but it was quite fashionned in France in the mid 70's... I didn't see many 2CV with this "RR" bonnet at the same period

It is also practical, the luggage space in the booth increases :)

These conversions were done in the US as well. I once saw a VW Beetle with a '32 Ford style hood and grille.

I suppose there was many conversions like this, but I still wonder if they where provided by same manufacturer? and what was it?
