Identified as a GMC CCKW in the comments although it could be something else. better views of the cab and hood area: |

Smart-Ass falls into the vat and Psycho falls into the rotating brush. It is kinda odd that the truck continues to idle toward the brick wall after Judge Doom restarts the engine. -- Last edit: 2010-09-20 10:21:07 |

its wierd how greasy didnt turn the matchien off when he fell out remember he fell and his foot fell of the brake makeing the matchien to move |

His foot looses the clutch, since the last thing he does before he starts laughing is releasing the hand brake and pressing down said pedal. When dying, he lets go of it too fast, causing the truck to jump into gear and idle towards the brick wall/Toontown. |

What's weird is that Doom restarts the engine without pressing the clutch or putting it in neutral. -- Last edit: 2017-05-20 20:22:34 |

It's unmistakably a CCKW 353. |

Pretty sure this is a White 666 6 ton. Key features are the curve of the front fender, the extended slope of the right side headlight guard, the panel underneath the right side door, the vent opening on the side of the hood, and the larger axles & hubs of a 6 ton truck. No features unique to the GMC are visible. |

That model name fits better to the role |

Good luck getting that thing up to 88 miles per hour |

That`s because this vehicle is gonna make the future, not go back to it. |

I'm watching it on tv right now and I don't think it's a GMC but I swear I noticed one in another scene painted as a flatbed for Marvin Acme |

At least one source I've found (Link to "pullingarabbitoutofahat.com") claims that the DipMobile started out as a "10-wheel-drive World War II bridge-building truck." Assuming that this source is reliable, it's most likely that the DipMobile is a B-666 Bridge Erector truck, "Hard Cab" version (https://usautoindustryworldwartwo.com/brockwaymotorcompany.htm). The Brockway Motor Company, as well as White Motor Company, Ward LaFrance 589, and FWD all manufactured these trucks during World War II, and quite a few were exported to the United Kingdom (where the movie was filmed) under Lend-Lease. The B-666 truck converted to build the DipMobile could have been made by any of these companies, not just White - though according to Wikipedia, Brockway and White built the vast majority of those trucks, so the DipMobile is most likely one of those two. Some other mods made to the truck that became the DipMobile: - The vehicle's diesel engine was replaced with a 12-horsepower electric motor so that it could be used for indoor filming - A special gearing system was installed and it was rigged to be driven remotely - Hydraulics, flashing lights, and a water cannon were added I'm not sure where the water cannon used on the truck came from (e.g. a fire truck or something else); I tried Googling to no avail. I also expect that the huge vat of dip started out as a chemical mixing silo of some kind, while the brushes on the front probably came from street sweepers. -- Last edit: 2022-03-17 00:43:57 |

So... a White B-666 then? That seems correct. |

Have to admit that I'm going to need to defer to the IMCDB collective on correct nomenclature for the purposes of this site and correct cataloguing. The design came from Brockway, and they are the ones who used/came up with the "B-666" designation (which denotes that it's a bridge-erecting 666 truck). But anything based on a Corbitt-White 666 chassis/cab seems to just be listed as "White 666" on this site - regardless of whether it's a cargo version, dump track, etc. "White 666" seems to be the catch-all for all of these trucks, so I guess we should leave it at that. Side note: I'm not sure who did the DipMobile conversion work on the truck for the movie. I'm guessing it was Dean Jeffries, the same guy who built the Red Car trolleys for the film. You can tell that they were going for an "evil" aesthetic to make the DipMobile look like a vehicular monster (hence, the red lighting inside the cab which makes the truck look like it has red "eyes", the brushes that look like a mouth with Dip sprayers that look like teeth, etc.) |

well... evil look meets a 666 truck... sounds legit to me... |
