I don't think it's a 1967. For one thing, the '67's had single beam across the grille, the bowtie logo in the middle, "C H E V R O L E T" spelled out along the top of the hood, and no side-marker lights. The 1968's were similar, but the grille was chromed and they had side-marker lights. The 1969 & 1970's had a black grille with a chrome bar covering the middle reading "C H E V R O L E T" and parking lights on the ends. Bottom line, this is either a 1971 or 1972 Chevy C-10. |

The year is kind of vague if you ask me. Artistic license and all that... The grille is wrong for any of the 1967--72 GM trucks, but the body lines are right, aside from the nose being a bit short. The amber directional signal lamps would be at the ends of the bar that ran across the middle of the grille or inset down in the bumper, depending on the year. Ddey65 is right about the side-marker lights being a feature of 1968--72 models, but the sloping front edge to the hood is consistent with 1967 only. 1968--72 had a hood that turned down sharply at 90 degrees, sometimes with a bow tie badge on the front of the hood depending on the trim level. BTW: Six lug nuts make it a C20 3/4 ton. |

The 3/4 ton had EIGHT lugs. I'm pretty sure the half tons had SIX from '67-72, however I just read here that 70-72 had FIVE. Not sure about the five. Comments? |
