Do you see me, Toecutter?
Do you see me, man?
Born with a steering wheel in his hand...and lead in his foot.
He is the Nightrider...... cruising at the speed of fright!
I am the Nightrider,
and we ain't never coming back!
I'm a fuel-injected suicide machine!
I am a rocker! I am a roller!
I am the Nightrider!
I am ready.
I am ready for your best.
You should see the damage, Bronze!
Metal damage...
... brain damage!
You listening, Bronze?
I am the Nightrider!
I'm a fuel-injected suicide machine.
I am a rocker! I am a roller!
I am an out-of-controller!
I am the Nightrider, baby...
... and it's me and my Marmaduke,
The Toecutter, he knows who I am.
I am the Nightrider!
I am the chosen one,
the mighty hand of vengeance...
... sent down to strike the unroadworthy!
I'm hotter than a rolling dice.
Step right up, chum, and watch the kid...
...lay down a rubber road right to freedom!

I'm doing up my '84 camaro as a tribute to this car and it's driver.

Hi
This is not an LS Monaro as some people think. LS monaros had twin light fronts (like HQ premiers)if you notice this car only has a single light front (like HQ Kingswoods have) When car is just about to crash you see an in car shot of the dash (plain no clock)and on the right side next to the spedo the dash reads 'Monaro' and not 'LS Monaro

For this production of this movie, the badge and name were removed and taped over to make it look like a nondescript vehicle.

I checked the instrument panel on this movie compare to other Holden Monaro I have looked at the eBay Cars Australia site and did came up with design same as Holden Monaro LS. I don't think Holden did offer base Monaro model. Do you concur with you Valiant1962?

Hi
Holden did make a base monaro as they did in HK-HG monaros. I could not see any taping over on the dash (outside the car anything goes as its been respayed) regardless the nightrider was not going to much further as his fuel gauge was below empty.

Do not forget that all cars of this movie were quite modified and/or old repaired cars

Here is the instrument panel that I was discussing earlier:

This lead me thinking this example is base trim of Holden Monaro [HQ].

This vehicle is powered with manual transmission:

Here is one at the underground garage:

The movie car was acctually a base model monaro 173ci, column shift auto. when you see the nightriders foot hit the brake, the car is acctually mechanic murry smith's valiant ute. the foot also belongs to murry smith.
The movie car was origianlly metalic gold in colour. before kenedy miller wrecked it, the monaro was owned by an old couple and was in absolutley perfect condition before grant page and murry smith put ten years on it by cliping each other and hitting gaurd rails to give it a used/beaten up look.
as you can tell by the interior...perfect cond.

That's a nice story, but the pedals do look like Holden pedals, unless the Chrysler Valiant used similar ones.
