Curiously, it doesn't have CHMSL. Probably before September 1985 before they are mandate.... |

without CHMSL it has to be registered as a 1985 or older (unless someone removed CHMSL, or maybe some one added a later model Pininfarina badge) This episode aired 23Nov1985 -- Last edit: 2010-07-11 22:35:31 |

Others US Spider Veloce with this new badge are listed as 1986: /vehicles_make-Alfa+Romeo_model-115.41.html Probably came at the end of 1985 for 1986 MY -- Last edit: 2010-07-11 22:39:29 |

The only problem with that is that all 1986 MY cars sold in the US had to have a CHMSL although wikipedia does say that it got the CHMSL ½-way through the 1986 MY -- Last edit: 2010-07-11 23:07:39 |

well this is what the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 has to say about this: so I guess rjluna2 was correct I guess this car was built before 1Sept1985 as a 1986 MY -- Last edit: 2010-07-13 04:47:25 |

It is also my understanding that some European cars made in 1986 model year in our market did slip through without post-September 1985 mandate CHMSL... -- Last edit: 2010-07-11 23:53:53 |
