This very well could be an ‘81 model...however in the episode, ‘Freddy Kruger’ says it’s a brand new car...which would have made it a 1985 model. But, the whole digital “space-age” (as Hunter refers to it) speedometer & odometer shown were not available in Dodge Diplomats or Plymouth Gran Furys (the Diplomat’s counterpart)...at least not that I remember or in any interior pics I’ve ever seen. But, perhaps it was a rare “specialty” feature at the time? I know some mid-80s cars did have a digital speedometer...but the few I remember were actually in GM vehicles back then... -- Last edit: 2020-12-21 07:14:58 |

we don't trust the " said in the script " , there is so many errors in those.. one of my favorites : /vehicle_5705-Ford-LTD-Crown-Victoria-1983.html speedometer might be a view from another car, we see this often my cousin's 1985 Chrysler LeBaron Converible has a digital dashboard -- Last edit: 2020-12-21 07:20:54 |

Wow....I do not remember that mistake in T-2, lol! I’ll have to look for that next time I watch that movie. Yeah, I know lots of times what’s said in a TV show or movie is not always accurate when it comes to vehicles. I was more interested in the digital dashboard aspect. My foster brother had an 85 Buick Skylark that had a digital dash, too. Must have been a “thing” for that year. I don’t remember that many cars after that, that had that option. |

that thing was wide spread, my mom's boyfriend's 1990 Chevy Blazer ( S-10 ) had it too ( GM's line-up was full of them ) Chrysler & Ford did attended that party too ( my uncle's & my cousin's 1981 Ford T-Bird , different ones , had it too but not my uncle's 1980 one ) -- Last edit: 2020-12-22 07:27:30 |
