I think it is newer than than. Seems to use indicators on the bumper instead of top of the front fender. How about 1975 or later? |

No, due the flat frontscreen definetely older than 1973 (after then the Cabriolet was based on the 1303). And the front hood is the flat version, too, so no 1971-73 1302 (on which the Cabriolet was based in 1971-73). Yes, there are no indicators on the fender, and the back lamps seems to be the elephant-foots, but it's in every case a 1968-71 VW 1500, because the fenders and bumpers are easlily changeable - the window-frame and the dashboard not really. Finally these are the only parts, which you should use for indentifying a VW Cabriolet. P.S. The alloys aren't original, too. They are looking like the "Weltmeister"-edition, but if they are some, they are later on chromated. VW never has offered chromated wheeels originally.
