Difficult to make this out, but the livery looks like one of the works-supported XJS Group 1 racers run by the Tom Walkinshaw team in the mid-late 1970s in the BTCC and ETCC. If so this could be a well-known crash, and the driver and race identified? -- Last edit: 2010-06-28 14:44:29 |

The TWR Jaguar XJ-S were more recent, from 1982 to 1984, and raced under Group A specs. The green with white stripe livery is from 1984, so this narrows down the possibilities. In the british rounds of the ETCC, all three Jags finished the Donington race, and only one crashed at the Silverstone event. The blurry ambulance looks Transit-like, suggesting a British venue as one possibility. |

From the youtube clip, Brands Hatch, Paddock Hill bend in the rain, I believe. The circuit is not an 'aerodrome circuit' its not flat as either Silverstone or Donington. -- Last edit: 2010-06-30 12:06:57 |

Looks like "MOTUL" sticker on rear wing between bumper and white stripe, which I think was 84 livery. |
