Has quatter lights in doors so it's 1984-1987 car. |

Well, it should have TAS badge on grill. Has classic "VW". |

Indeed window I didn't notice, I do not know, if such old car should really have all badges. |

TAS assembled Golf II in 1985-1990 period, if you insist. |

First test in Avto magazin is from 1985 that's true, but was it really since 1985. But ok. |

This Golf wasn't made in TAS. It was seized later, and police still uses it (it is used by traffic control). It is usually parked on side of Jurija Gagarina street, and there is a radar and camera on passenger's seat. TAS badges on G2 are very hard to remove, so most of all TAS Golfs still have TAS badges (unlessthe entire grille is changed). -- Last edit: 2010-06-25 20:39:57 |

Badge on Jetta and G2 looks similar to one on G1, but it is glued somehow, and it is very hard to remove without breaking it - while on G1 it is just held by two plastic toggles (guess that is the word :\). |

So you mean, that it's difficult to steal them from abandoned cars or on junkyards? |

Or from the cars that are still in use. |
