As it's RHD, was it based on the German or the British Capri? The early RHD and LHD-Capri I were indeed different cars - the German one was made with metric tools, the British one with inch-tools (definetely the body-construction) So today a problem for the Capri-freaks, as they cannot use the parts from the other version. |

More likely to be UK-based. Ford SA always assembled Cortinas rather than Taunus equivalents, so their systems and parts sharing would always be biased against metric standards. |

Australia had UK based Capris as well, assembled in Aust from a couple of years after they were released |
