The two main characters get into this to go to Celine's flat, this car spends a total of nearly ten minutes onscreen (if you count the interior where the pair have a whole conversation inside the car) does this mean it should get 4 stars? although the scene is not exactly a showcase for the 807, just a setting for the scene, it could have been any other car and it wouldn't really have mattered.

Usually 4 stars is for a vehicle seen for a long part (e.g. more than half of the movie), but in some cases where the vehicle is heavily visible I think that 4 stars is good. That's what I made for vehicles of the movie "Ronin" where none of the cars is used through the whole movie, though few of them got 4 stars. So if there are lots of exterior views of the car we could put 4 stars. If these are mostly interior views, it is maybe less worth?

A lot of time I'm not always sure, sometimes its obvious but when two characters get inside a car and have a conversation I get a bit confused. And when you take a TV series like The Sopranos, which I did all the pictures for, each series has 13 hours worth of episodes which is considerably longer than any film, so the amount of screen time Christopher Moltisanti's Lexus LS400 gets in total (especially when it used a lot in the pilot episode) might earn it four stars if it was in film, but in proportion to the running time of the first series, it's pretty low percentage.

Another example is the Rolls Royce that gets blown up in The Long Good Friday, it's not on screen for too long but that act of its destruction is a key plot point, and often gets mentioned in capsule summaries of the film, so I decided to give it 4 stars.

I know that it is difficult :D That's why at first I wanted to have two ratings: importance & the time it is seen. So for the RR, for example, it would have a high rating for the first but not for the second. But there is a 3rd rating that can be added: the way the car is used. Some people want to see cars used in chases or in agressive driving. So we will never have a "perfect" rating system. Currently the rating is somewhat a mix of importance and duration, we can improve that but do not forget that any change will require that the 30000 vehicles listed may be impacted... :D
