One of my favorites.Unusual, forgotten, obscure, extremely rare.I think there may actually be 5 or 6 still lurking around somewhere.Quite an oddity and kind of neat at the same time. |

Plate goes to a 1977 Chevy Chevelle or Caprice Classic |

Ive seen tv shows from this era where the same plate was used on multiple cars.I think it belongs to the studio/film company and they attach the plate temporarily to a car being used on film. |

In Australia we had them as Chrysler Scorpion at first, the Mitsubishi Scorpion after Chrysler sold their Australian assembly operations to Mitsubishi in 1980. They are very rare here now as well, but occasionally you still see one. -- Last edit: 2010-06-09 23:21:39 |

Wow... I am so glad that the Challenger name didn't stay devolved as this car. |

I purchased a 1978 Dodge Challenger in '78, still have it. It looks very little like the one pictured. Mine has been garaged kept, looks better now than when i bought it. Very rare car. Anyone knowing where there's another, please contact me at brumitstn@charter.net |

This is a 1981-1983 model. The 1978-1980 had different taillights, grille, and the rear license plate mounted on the bumper. |
