It can not be a Custom 300 because there were not Custom 300 in 1960. The Custom 300 was not a Ford series at all, but an option inside Fairlane series. Fleet buyers could choose the Custom 300 option on either a Fairlane Club Sedan or Town Sedan (pillared). This option "stripped down" the Fairlane so that taxicab, law enforcement agencies, and other multi-Ford purchasers could equip their cars exactly to their needs and save money by doing so. I assume that the car indicated on main pic is a four door like the same on upper right corner. For this, I would go for 1960 Fairlane Town Sedan -58E- but if it got the '300 option' it would change to a Custom 300 58F. I think we can be safe ID this as Fairlane. |

Correct Custom 300 series was discontinued after 1959 so this is a Fairlane. -- Last edit: 2010-06-08 19:13:11 |
