Not all are interesting I guess... I guess that the brown-gold one in the middle is an Oldsmobile. For the blue-grey one parked behind it (on its right on the picture then) maybe a Toyota ? The white one in foreground seems common but I can't recall its name...

I'd suggest the Tempo, given that it's the clearest car in the picture (there's another Tempo parked behind it, the grey car at the bottom right corner). The most interesting car is probably the Corolla, since it's the last RWD one. There's also the Mercury Cougar, which is the car parked (visually) to the right of the Corolla. Then, in the row with the brown Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, there's also a white Buick Skylark ('86 or '87), a silver Chevy Celebrity, and what I believe is a silver Pontiac Sunbird (the car with the black bar taillight).

I would have said the Toyota. The Mercury is more visible on the other page: vehicle_30796-Unknown.html

As I said, it's a Tempo. We never got a four-door Sierra, and the Scorpio's windows weren't quite so recessed.

Explorer: Im curious, why would they have a 1988 Tempo, in a rental car lot filled with brand new 1984 Cars in a movie that was made in 1987.

For a minute, I forgot the even 1984 Ford Tempo's had those lights, I though Tempo's had more square lights.

The white car in the picture looks to be a Mercury Topaz. Correct me if I'm wrong. Notice the red rear turn signals and vertical lines in the tail light?

Unless the A is missing in TOPAZ, there looks to be sufficient white space to allow TEMPO GL to be written. The last letter even looks like an L. I am interested in the white Oldsmobile on the right in the last pic with the bus. Cutlass Calais?

No, that's an '87 Cutlass Ciera coupe.
