I think it is 'D' reg on the Renault: 1966. But there are a few other interesting vehicles in this picture: Behind the Renault a Foden S21 Cement Mixer, next to it a Morris Minor 1000 and an Austin Mini. Behind the Minor a Hillman Imp and behind that a Volkswagen Bus T2. Top left another Volkswagen 'Beetle', probably 'Export' or '1200'. Next to it a Bedford CA Dormobile (camper). In the pile on the right a Wolseley 1500 and another Mini. Behind the Foden a Bedford HA and an Austin A35 under it, probably a van, else the Bedford would not stay up there. Begind those two a Riley One-Point-Five (or its twin the Wolseley 1500). The green one next to it could be a Škoda 1000 MB. And last but certainly not least a Land-Rover Series I. |

Hey, one of my old Matchbox toys was a Foden Cement Mixer. I don't know if it was an S21, but it did have eight wheels. And that's the closest any American who's never been outside of the US or Canada would ever get to touching a Foden. -- Last edit: 2006-04-27 18:16:54 |
