This car was supposed to be chased by the Suffolk County Police. The trouble is, they were in Jericho, which is in Nassau County, and they weren't even painted the correct colors for either Police Department.

I don't see yellow and purple on either of these cars.

Crane worth listing? Briefly visible, from this far away only.

Aren't those rounded mirrors '91 to '94?

Oops, it was identified in the episode as a '96 but I think you're right, those mirrors are 1992-'94 (no sedan in '91 apparently).

Is it shown as this car lands in the water? If not, they could have taken a simple wreck to fake a sunken car. Roadmasters in good condition are too precious and of too much worth (well-kept models with not too many mileage on them are always wanted) to waste them in movies.

It was not shown hitting the water, but I think it was shown submerged and being lifted out of the water.

I guess it could be from the junkyard, but then again Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay pull in almost $400k each per SVU episode, so I don't think the producers worry whether they get a $5000 used car or a $20000 used car :D

Wasn't there another one of these pulled out of a river in an earlier episode? Might even have been a crossover ep with the original series where I saw that.

Wasn't this the same car used briefly in another episode? At trial Cabot called it a 96 Buick Regal. It is a Roadmaster and not a Regal in that episode.

1994-1996 alloys.

1994 only due to the mirrors and alloy combo.
