This is a standard 1750 fitted with an HL grill for some reason? Look at the second picture where Jack Douglas is turning left,, see the dash.. its the wooden formica, and the two spoke steering wheel.. the early HL was a black padded dash with a 3 spoke alloy leather rimmed wheel, Also its a K reg.. the HL was launched in October 1972,, so the first were L reg. |

This very same Maxi also appeared in the final season of BBC Dixon of Dock Green ,,, I wonder how? there must be a production crew link somewhere between the BBC and Pinewood Studios ? -- Last edit: 2020-05-03 01:14:53 (dsl) |

LMV was a Greater London series. Another idea is they used the same rental/lease fleet to supply vehicles for filming - maybe a firm which had regular contracts. Today in Glasgow, Arnold Clark is a favoured supplier for filming, and has a stock fleet which it keeps ready - some are obvious such as faked police cars, others just mundane stuff to be used or scattered around the filming sets. |
