I'm not a Skyline lover,but my friend is,and he told me, that it's not a GTR: 1)wrong headlights 2) this body kit available for GTT model,it just don't fit on GTR 3) it handle like common RWD car,not like AWD and AWS GTR 4) GTR badge is very cheap to purchase and easy to install And my opinion:if you buy GTR, rip off ATTESSA and HICAS systems,replace body parts to fit body kit...you are stupid.

Like other Skylines, the R34 is powered by a RB26DETT 2.6-liter, DOHC, 24-valve straight six sitting longitudinally in the engine bay that's force fed by twin turbos and rated at a laughingly low 280 hp. The R34's engine feeds a six-speed Getrag gearbox that in turn sends power to the ATTESA all-wheel-drive system, which electronically varies the torque split. Super HICAS four-wheel steering is also aboard and includes an electronic feedback control system to ensure precise wheel positioning under extreme circumstances. But the big change for the R34 from previous Skylines was a stiffened body shell and fresh aerodynamic design. This car has carbon-fiber under-car diffusers and a new rear wing. In fact, the Skyline R34 is such an effective piece of technology, it was too good for movie work. All-wheel-drive supercars are quick and amazing to drive, but they're absolutely nonchalant about their work. It takes a rear-quarter hit by an out-of-control country squire to get an R34's tail to swing out dramatically, and burnouts are tough in a car with more traction than a Caterpillar D9. I don't know the exact color code, but if you go to www.houseofkolor.com you can find a dealer somewhere. i don't know what car you want to spray it on, but usually a complete paint job costs about 1.500 to 3.000$. maybe a bit more if you use this paint because house of kolor paint is high quality, but also quite expensive.

6speed ◊ 2007-05-24 18:14	The car is a Nissan Skyline BNR-34 GT-R V-Spec with a C-West bodykit. It is not a GTT. The resoning behind your inquiry into it being RWD is that it performs a Burnout at the start of the movie. The R34 GT-R contains a Limited Slip Variable Actuator system, that relies on 90 percent of all the cars torque to be put in its back wheels, or front wheels. This system was used to provide the Burnout. There is no difference between the R34 GT-R's headlights and the R34 GTT's headlights. And this bodykit is most definatly available for the R34 GT-R through your local Body Shop Kit Dealer.

Actually if you got the DVD of the movie listen the movie with Rob Cohen speaking in the same time and you'll know that this "made-for-movie car TASER" at that time wasn't available in the US but it actually really exist it is just right know in kind of "try". I don't know if know it as been approve to use it, but in 2001 it was a try, something they'll use in the future to stop cars like that...

mk3supraguy ◊ 2011-05-20 03:28	@DemonGTR that oval shape is a NO2 sprayer, it sprays nitrous into the intercooler to keep the motor even cooler because of the high combustion from the nitrous system that is used in the car. Also there was one actual GTR used in the movie, the picture used on this page is the real one, but for the scenes where the car slid around like a rear wheel drive car, that was a GTT, you can tell they used both because the instrument cluster is that of the GTT (speedo only reaches 180 km/h), while on a real GTR the speedo would go up to 320 km/h, which is about an impressive top speed of 200 mph!

In case if you don't know, all JDM cars came with 180 km/h speedometers due to speed limiter. 320 km/h-rated dial is aftermarket one. Often times the information is presented as graphs, and other means of display. This concept shown in the movie is not far-fetched, however the diagnostics shown on the cute LCD screen were probably far from accurate info on the car's actual parameters.

I think he's talking about the massive subwoofer/LCD screen device mounted aboard the dashboard next to that little screen. What's odd is that when the car gets EMP'd or whatever, it shows little clips of various electronic components failing (such as the speedo, the little display monitor you were talking about) and it then shows the subwoofer's screen with some kind of electronic speedo on it

Also, this was confirmed to be a GT-R, except for the stunt cars.
