pilou ◊ 2010-03-20 10:25	This is the 1935 Gillmore Speedway Special in which Kelli "Petillo" Michelli won the Indianapolis 500 race in 1935.Srory has it that a crack was discovered in the frame of the car.As it was too late to weld , wire was used to strenghten the frame and it held.

dsl ◊ 2014-01-16 18:02	This seems to be a 1935 Miller run under Gilmore Special sponsorship, but now still alive and widely known as the "Gilmore Special" with some degree of fame for being the first car to break the 120 mph average lap speed in qualifying - eg Link to "www.motorauthority.com" . Suggest rename as 1935 Miller with model as "Gilmore Special" in absence of any other obvious model designation. Gilmore was an oil company who seem to have sponsored Indy teams for several decades - eg this 1935 popster - much like other firms such as STP, Mobil etc. Can any US imcdbers agree/disagree with this summary?
