Not made for GB, rather made in GB (as Camper), as the equipment is obviously not from Westfalia, Teca, etc. But I'm not sure, if it's an original Camper, due missing Camper-roof and Camper-side windows. Probably something selfmade, based on a regular T2a. P.S. Why GB? Is it a scene from there? -- Last edit: 2010-03-19 21:19:57 |

I don't think it's made for GB at all; there is no door on the LH side. |

Indeed, this is Left hand drive... |

Where was this movie made? The name is Swedish (I think), the damaged Simca has a French plate. |

The architecture almost looks Dutch... |

The scene is from GB so I was jumping to conclusions on this one. Even if the placement of the sidedoor is no sure sign of LHD or RHD it´s indeed not likely to be a RHD. Sidedoors could be ordered on any side, or even on both. There was a variety of factorybuilt campers, with or without openable roofs and with more or less camping interiors. In many cases you could also buy kits with campingequipment from those manufacturers, often through VW-dealers. When mentioned in VW sales material, they´re often called just Campingwagen, Camping Car, Camper, Campmobile or something like that. The different manufacturers like for instance Devon also have modelnames for their respective roof and interior solutions. |
