This is the top-of-the-line 1971 'Cuda, not a Barracuda. |

Only 118 hardtop Hemi Cuda's produced for the 71 model year, 48 automatic, 59 4-speeds, and 11 sent to Canada-July 07 Muscle Car Review. Also, only 7 Hemi Cuda convertibles made that year, all ragtops accounted for, and worth a mint each. I wonder if the hardtop in the movie is actually a clone... |

I was reading an article on "The Scat Pack," back when they still updated, about the "Hemi 'Cuda clone" from "the upcoming Gone in 60 Seconds remake." Supposedly this car was supposed to be featured in a larger role, but it was written out prior to filming. -- Last edit: 2008-03-11 06:05:20 |

The red 1971 HEMI CUDA in the 2000 movie "Gone in 60 Seconds" with Nick Cage and Angelina Jolie is my late husband's red 1971 CUDA'. He passed away in 2018 and I want to make sure he gets the credit that is due him. His Cuda' was not a HEMI CUDA', he just replaced the emblems on the hood. It is a clone car in absolute perfect condition. At the time it had a 440 6pak set up in it and at the time of his death he was putting a HEMI in it. Black interior, pistol grip shifter, 4 speed and not a numbers matching. I have pictures if interested and it is getting sold as I am writing this. blessmybeagles@hotmail if you have questions. Also there was a 70 B5 blue Superbird in the movie as well and that was restored by my husband Robert Stagg (CUDA BOB) and the car belonged to his friend. |

Thank you I not get that far I started getting sad. I was 13 years old and he took me to the drags and i got to work on the Hemi underglass. It is all because of him that I am now a successful shop owner. |

Hey SemperFi, Chelsea3 is my aunt and Bob is my mom's brother. I don't know if you got ahold of my aunt. She moved from Lancaster a while ago. If you want to get in touch with her let me know here. |
