From which year of the "Monte"? |

They are talking about the 1972 edition, but the picture can be from different year. |

Did a Touring ever appear as a competitor? Or is it a support vehicle? |

I don't think they raced with roof racks... |

That was one of the reasons for my suggestion. But I have a very nice Progetto model of a Fiat 850 coupe which ran in the 1967 Monte with a roof rack. |

You have? Can you perhaps take a picture of it? I would be very interested as I own an 850 Sport Coupé. -- Last edit: 2010-11-12 01:10:36 |

See Link to "www.carmodel.net" . The Progetto models are pretty good with various S1 coupes and S2 sport coupes and some Abarthised OT1000 and 1300 liveries - worth tracking down. |

dsl, do you know if the first series of Sunbeam Rapier was available with column shift? Link to "forum.imcdb.org" |

@DAF555. Yes it was, in both RHD and LHD (but floor change standard S2 onwards). The picture looks identical to one I've found in a book for a LHD S1 Rapier, though I can't confirm that it could only be a Rapier and nothing else Rootesish. -- Last edit: 2010-11-12 01:47:29 |

Great, thanks! I´ve been trying to find pictures of them, but interior pictures are hard to get by. The closest I got was a car for sale where you could see there was a space for it on the steering column, but the hole was plugged so I guessed either it was available, or the column itself borrowed from some other Rootes car. |
