In the center. Is anything on the back row is interesting? I see a 1950 Studebaker, namely.

I guess the Studebaker is a Commander (side lights on top of the fender), right?

Interesting.
1951 movie yet the majority of the cars pictured appear to be 1930's models.

And Studebaker Champions had fender top ornaments, too.
Ornamentation ID's whether or not the car was a Deluxe or Regal Deluxe model.
The engine, nameplates and dashboards determined Champion vs Commander.

Land Cruisers can be ID'ed by the presence of side window vents. (They were technically part of the Commander line and are correctly called "Commander Land Cruisers"). Also, all Land Cruisers had one-piece windshields as did "Starlite" coupe models and convertibles.
Non-Land Cruiser 4 and 2 door sedans had 2-pieced windshields in 1950.

In '51, ALL Studebakers had one-piece windshields.

OK.
The sight of that Studebaker (and the fact I am a Studebaker enthusiast) got me to doing some research last night with my club magazines.
The October 1985 issue contained a long and very detailed article on the 1950 models.
Based on that, I have some revisions to make to my post from yesterday.
There IS a good way to ID Champions and Commanders from the outside. The headlamp rims on the Commander are larger at the bottom where the parking lamps are located. There is also a slightly larger hood ornament on the Commander.

As far as fender-top chrome ornaments are concerned, they were standard on the Commander but optionally available on the Champion.

At mid year 1950, the headlamp rims on both the Commander and Champion were switched to chromed from painted.
(The exception was the mid-year addition of the Champion Custom which retained the painted rims and had no hood ornament at all.)

The photo'ed car appears to have small, chromed headlamp rims and the smaller hood ornament making it a Champion mid-year model.

As far as Deluxe vs Regal Deluxe is concerned, you would have to be able to see the rocker panels. They were chromed on the Regal Deluxe models and painted on the Deluxe ones.

(I hate to place all this info under the Hudson listing but I see the Studebaker has no page of its own)
