The wrecker body is a peterson scoop. Clearing up misconceptions here. 1978 only Custom have circular headlamps. All other trims received square headlamps. Only the highest trim (Ranger Lariat) received chrome bezels standard. The Ranger/Ranger XLT have black bezels standard with the option of chrome bezels. For 1979 all trims have square headlamps. The Custom trimmed models (1978-1979) never had the option for chrome bezels by the brochures. The Ranger/Ranger XLT come with black bezels standard by the brochures but could have chrome bezels too. All of this information is pulled from the brochures.
