an_unusual_eye ◊ 2010-01-22 23:58	this show is a "head to head battle" between two teams that each modify a 240z, then drag race the cars (not really the specialty of a car that ~ by nature ~ loves curves, but...). the team that wins the best 2 out of 3 takes home both cars. this 240z begins the show finished in white, and though missing some emblems, with easily discernable traits of series I (1970-early 1971) trim including the series I specific sail pillar emblems. in a slight twist of irony, when the cars have been finished by the teams and before "race day unveiling", the show has the cars both repainted to (nearly) their original colors. this one ends up to be the original red/orange (color code 918 "new sight orange"), but without the series I specific non-vented sail pillar emblems or hatch vent trim reinstalled. the other car - that they claim throughout the show is also a 1971 240z - is actually a 1973 model (based on the series II badges in conjunction with the one year only 1973 bumper style). it has also been listed.
