The picture in the link shows a 202, but it's not the same car. |

As you ,I remain puzzled by this mysterious " Break de Chasse" .However , I came across a document published in " Automobilia Hors Série N° 26 " Toutes les voitures Françaises 1940-1946 , les années sans salon " by René Bellu on page 12 under "Amilcar".It shows a blueprint of an Amilcar Compound Break de Chasse with an intricated woodwork that very well matches this one .It was designed in july 1945 by Clément Vinciguerra , responsible for coachwork at Hotchkiss on a slightly stretched Amilcar Compound B38 base ,allowing for 4 doors .One prototype would have been build and would have become the personal car of C. Vinciguerra. The text says that no traces of this car have subsisted.I would be very interested to hear from french car experts. |

Interesting comment Pilou, so would you think that this one could be the personnal car of C.Vinguerra? That would be quite amazing, but why not? |

Coming back to Automobilia an article entitled " L'Amilcar Compound 1937-1947 , troisième partie" pp 18-23 by Marc-Antoine Colin in Automobilia N° 5 of september 1996 also shows the blueprint with in addition a front/rear print. The ressemblance is still striking with the exception that the middle panel on rear and side shows one additional panel separation on the blueprint. But this may have been simplified on a real car. Here too the text says "Le plan date du 11 juillet 1945...un tel véhicule a été effectivement réalisé pour l'usage du directeur du bureau d'études carrosserie Clément Vinciguerra ,sur base B 38 ...cette voiture a elle aussi disparue sans laisser de traces".According to Marc-Antoine Colin the engine appearing on the blueprint appears a B67. So far its the nearest I can come by. |
