Eeeh, you're not really correct: "Neue Klasse" was called the BMW 1500/1600/1800/2000, not any Mercedes. The name "S-Klasse", resp. "Neue S-Klasse" was getting popular with the successor, the [W116], though the W108/109 is in fact an own model "S-Klasse". The predecessors, which had a "S" in the name, like 220 SE or so, were better equipped and had bigger engines than the basic version, but they didn't had unique bodies. -- Last edit: 2010-01-15 11:51:35 |
