Isn't the Series 60 generally a Fleetwood? In my copy of the Encyclopedia of American Cars, they are called Fleetwood Sixty Special from their debut in 1938 onwards, with the 60, like all other Cadillac series designations, spelled out instead of put in numbers. In 1961, the Sixty Special name was apparently retired as a model, despite the Cadillac catalog called the Fleetwood sedan the Fleetwood Sixty Special, but there was no badge to reflect this. It apparently returned as an independent model from 1965 until 1971, when the Fleetwood name was used on base model cars and the Fleetwood Brougham name on top of the line models. The Sixty Special moniker then again appears to be used as a trim level designation of the Fleetwood line in 1977. I really would appreciate if someone in the know could clarify this matter once and for all. |

Well, both of Fleetwood models (sedan and limo) also carry series designations in names. it was 60 Special for sedan and 75 for limo. They carry this designations even when real series designations were changed... There is no mistake in calling they "Series 60 Special" and "Series 75", but Fleetwood is kinda "primary" |

This car ran into the ditch while avoiding that big lizard and is later seen undergoing repairs. I'd say it's more a 2 star vehicle. |
