Rockymoose12 ◊ 2006-11-27 02:18	this car was a twin turbo though, ya? and as far as supras differing VASTLY throughout the horsepower range, I've dyno'd supras anywhere from 400 to 1100 horsepower at the wheels. it's not all movie magic, these things can be tuned to roar.

Regarding 1000 hp Supras: A lot of guys like to brag over 1000 hp, but these numbers are almost always obtained by running the car on race fuel and cranking the boost to some ungodly level that the cars wouldn't last another 1,000 miles on and then dynoing it once before returning it to a more conservative level, like 500-600 hp. A 3.0 liter engine just isn't going to be anywhere near streetable at 1,000 horsepower, period. Also, considering the Ferrari 348 was a mid-13 second car stock, as was the Supra, this isn't a really impressive victory at all. -- Last edit: 2007-01-29 20:47:42

Dude all you gotta do to beat a Ferrari is.... good traction off the line (e.g 4WD), a transfer box and gearbox that can with hold big pressure, and dump the clutch (put car in gear, put foot on clutch , red-line it, and quickly let clutch out)!!!

CRAFT372 ◊ 2009-09-19 21:41	My favorite car in the movie i usely fall straight fore the classic American muscle car but that awsome Orange paint job and that awsom bodykitt and that sweet handeling was more then enought to make me fall fore this imported baby and i aldso think that i saw it in the drive way of Doms house in the latest movie in the series Fast And Furious butt i am not sure but some cars from this movie were seen in Fast And Furious from 2009 like the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle and the mother of all Chargers Doms fathers 1970 Dodge Charger so i wonder if the car was used as a cameo or maybe SPOILER fore this movie Dom gave it to Mia after Bryan gave hin the keyes in the end of the movie -- Last edit: 2009-09-19 21:46:22

majorhawke ◊ 2010-11-21 19:05	I don't care what anyone says, The Fast and the Furious is not a ricer movie, they are imports that are modified to suit street racing, not built with half custom bodykits and no engine tuning at all like ricers, these cars are actually fast and nice looking, but this car is a plain out beast!! 544+ Hp = Masterpiece

But perhaps he stashed it somewhere. Also, my friend saw Fast Five on the opening day and said that this Supra is back. Is that true?

cycolac fan ◊ 2011-10-23 03:04	They built 9 of these for the movie - well 8 copies of the original car which was yellow when they borrowed it from the owner builder. I believe they used Supras from 1992 to '94. Always amuses me when people assume a modern film only has one example of each car...
