the expression on that guys face is priceless ~ and somewhat scary. the placement of the reverse lights in the rear panel makes this either a 260z or 280z rather than a 240z (on which they would be the lower inner sections of the actual tail lights), as does the roofline. by the roof angle, this one is a 2+2, and there were no 240z 2+2 models, only 2-seaters. so... at the earliest, this car could be a 1974 260z 2+2, but based on the sheer volume produced, this is much more likely a 1975-78 280z, so best listed as "1975 Datsun 280z 2+2 [s30]". within the 1974-1978 range, from this angle, the year would only be narrowed down further by which of the three different (U.S.) bumper styles that had been originally fitted. -- Last edit: 2011-03-31 18:00:15 |
