2007-03-30 18:22 | Hey guys, how to differentiate 71-74 Electra from same years LeSabre? |
2007-03-30 18:30 | The Electra's were built on the GM C-body (Cadillac deVille/Fleetwood, Oldsmobile 98, Buick Electra) whereas the LeSabre's were built on the B-bodies (Chevrolet Impala/Caprice, Pontiac Catalina/71-74 Bonneville, Oldsmobile Delta 88, Buick LeSabre/Centurion). Not only were the C-bodies built on a longer wheelbase, they had a more formal roof line (most obvious at the c-pillar)and tended to have a different rear-end appearence. There is one exception to all of this. The Pontiac Granville/75-76 Bonneville were also built on the B-body but utilized the more formal roof line of the C-body. -- Last edit: 2007-03-30 18:32:40 |
