I think it's Korean truck. (May be Daewoo, based on Nissan Diesel) |

Daewoo or Hyundai (?) |

The only letters I see above the grille are "JN UE." I tried to look it up, but I ended up with a webpage that I could only red if I got any Asian-Translation Program. |

The letter on the grill are "INOUE", but the O is not visible (I do not know why) and this name is not related to the truck (I should have written that, to prevent you from searching for someting that would not give any result ) |

The O is writtein in red color. "INOUE" is typical Japanese family name. This movie is an alternate world, so they set a manufacturer of fictitious. |

"Inoue" is the name of the foundation (and the guy that made the foundation) which owns the crates that are in the trucks. I do not think they wanted to create a fake truck make |

Sorry. I did not notice though once I saw this movie |

You know, I recently thought of the possibility that this might be a Bering. -- Last edit: 2006-04-26 18:15:03 |

I'm pretty sure now. It's a Bering HDMX. http://www.truckequipva.com/Bering/Bering.htm -- Last edit: 2006-05-25 20:47:32 |

Thanks |

Perhaps MX stands for 'Mixer', but I'm not sure of that. On the English Wikipedia you can find it also. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bering_Truck_Corporation |

I think Bering name was only used in the US. Filming locations are however in South-Korea, China and Japan. -- Last edit: 2007-01-05 23:11:22 |

The Wikipedia entry suggests that all Berings are rebadged Hyundis, so this is a Hyundai (or was until the art department turned it into an "Inoue"...). |

What model name then? |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_New_Power_Truck Seems to be an Hyundai New Power Truck then, based on Bering HD. Pity, Bering was a new make... |

Correction: Hyundai Super Truck. Manufactured from 1997 to 2004. The Hyundai New Power Truck came out in 2004 with this facelift: Link to "de.wikipedia.org" Notice: The Movie is from 2002, not from 2009. -- Last edit: 2016-03-12 17:58:52 |
