It's actually a 1971 model, and it's a Continental Town Car. -- Last edit: 2006-03-15 19:17:34 |

The car is without question a 1971 Lincoln Continental Sedan. The 1970 and 1971 grills are similar and where influenced by the Cord. The big differane is that on the 70 the body color grill surround turns out to make a lip over the grill and on the 1971 it does not, Also the 70 has more trim on the headlight doors where the 71 is cleaner, 1970 Lincoln Continental Sedan ![]() 1971 Lincoln Continental Sedan ![]() In 1970 through 1980 Lincoln's had an interior upgrade option for the Continental that was called "The Town Car Interior option" The car model was not called "Town Car" -- Last edit: 2010-06-05 05:48:05 |

Nice illustrations, Fletch. Thanks. |

Fletch is entirely correct; as it does not have a Town Car badge behind the front wheel opening this Lincoln is just a plain Continental model 53A. |

The Town Car option package started midway through the 1972 model year, so you needn't worry about this being one. |
