I seem to recall something like ..UVM.? I checked..and the name i was thinking of was UVA.! (not the same as this car ..though.!) http://www.blenheimgang.com/guide/uva/m6.htm -- Last edit: 2006-03-14 23:39:54 |

Looks like Manta Mirage to me too Antp |

When Antp mentioned Manta I looked long and hard and just can't find one with the same front end design as this one, the air vent low in the back wing (rather than high) and the side design I see in the brightened picture. See: http://www.tradeshowsandevents.com/tri-magnum/images/body-manta-mirage.jpg and http://www.davewolin.com/images/man1.jpg . I won't argue with the I.D. but I personally am not 100% convinced yet. -- Last edit: 2006-03-18 03:49:26 |

Maybe not a Mirage, but I guess there are other Manta kit-cars, maybe it is another model of this make? -- Last edit: 2006-03-18 10:53:06 |

I believe that there were other Manta kit cars that could have been modified to look like this one. -- Last edit: 2006-03-20 03:40:29 |

Several kit-cars based on VW looks like this. |

Looks familiar. can't put my thumb on it. |

The shape is familiar in someway to me too. I remember British company called UVA (Unique Vehicle & Accessory) made cars that looked like that and were supposedly based on Käfer. |

looks a bit like that car in the tv show hardcastle and mc cormack |

Looks like a later-model Mirage to me. |

I Believe this was a kit produced in the late 1970's and early 80's called the Willow GT, it had a custom tube frame and used 2.0 or 2.3 pinto power. |

I would rather go for the 1981 Willow by Seltzer Motor Industries. There are lot of similarities like front and rear fenders and the front air intake. Compare (1980 Willow): http://www.flickr.com/photos/autohistorian/8607843872/ They changed the rear lights in 1981 ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-08-01 13:51:59 |

Indeed that seems very close |

Very nice looking car, looks a little tall. Wont win no cannonball run as it comes with a 2.0 100hp pinto. Goes to show how looks can be deceiving. |
