Probably a Morris from rear trim. ADO16, not ADO_16. |

I was surprised to see this humble but innovative (same designer as mini: Alec Issigonis) BMC saloon on a Japanese street! I knew the two door MG version was exported to the US (with mixed results) but thought that was pretty much it as far as export markets were concerned. Perhaps an Australian-spec import? |

Not Japan, it's Hong Kong. No reason to assume this was shipped from Aus - UK supplied lots of stuff to HK direct. Small numbers of 1100s might have made it to J in period - there were a few Minis sent there, particularly Cooper - and there have a lot of imports from UK in last few years of 1100/1300 (especially posher versions - VdP, Wolseley, MG and the handful of surviving Rileys) which have become cult retro cars there. But your basic point is right - I'd get excited about finding one of these in J. |

The exact location is Nathan Road in Kowloon, Hong Kong, which looks much different now. |

Not Nathan Road, because it's not width enough. It's only the inner street of Kowloon. |
