This appears to be a DBS V8, not a DBS. On the DBS V8, Aston Martin replaced wire wheels with mags to handle the significant increase in horsepower developed by the V8.

...Which means this car is definitely not 1969. The DBS V8 was built between April 1970 and May 1972.

A fabulous car and much sought after today.

I quote Crex:
According to this page: "Roger Moore - Aston Martin. In the series Brett Sinclair (Roger Moore) is supposed to drive a DBS V8, but in fact the car was a DBS six cylinder 5 speed manual gearbox with V8 wheels and V8 badging. The Bahama-yellow car was registered in June 1970 with an original number plate of PPP 6H. This can be seen in the episode The Gold Napoleon in a now famous Persuaders! blooper. In the series the car carried a BS1 plate, similar to ST1 plate from The Saint. The car was originally tracked down in Leeds in the late 1980's and had had a number of owners. A TMA member purchased the car and it was sold to another club member in 1994. It is currently being restored to its original Persuaders! condition by Aston Martin. The present owners name cannot be divulged."
