black car is a Ford LTD Crown Victoria (and the truck on the right is a 63-66 GMC) |

That's a 1979 Mercury Grand Marquis, not a Ford. |

In Mexico, it's a Ford LTD Crown Victoria. |

Don't the tailights match those of a Grand Marquis? |

Yes, they do. This is a GM, not an LTD CV. |

But perhaps it was sold as GM even if it looked like an LTD... it wouldn't be the first time they do something like this in México. |

Well either way the model is Grand Marquis, regardless of wheather it's badged as Ford or Mercury. This is not an LTD Crown Victoria -- Last edit: 2009-04-03 21:48:58 |

As far as I know, the Grand Marquises have always looked like...well, Grand Marquises in Mexico. The only difference has been in badging (and sometimes other smaller details such as the wheels). Anyhow, I'm not sure if back then they were also Fords or not, so I'll list this as a Mercury until someone who knows for sure can correct me if I'm wrong. |

Well anyway, it's a 1982 model at the oldest (first year without fender louvers) |

If it's Mexico, this would be a Ford Grand Marquis and it would also be built in Mexico. |
