Cool! The Terberg factory is in the village where I was born. In fact, I went to the primary school that's next to the factory! |

Benschop? The truck shown here is similar to this one that was produced since 1973 (though there are also some differences...): |

Correct me if I am wrong; although I surely know that trucks were never built to win design awards this one looks as if someone had ripped off the cabin and welded on a phonebooth instead. |

Of course, I've read about the Terberg-factory before, and I'm well aware of that they are known for building capable machinery. |

@DynaMike, Yes, Benschop. I remember (prototypes of) those terminal trucks frequently doing test drives on the public roads, so I guess Benschop must have been (and probably still is) the town with the most terminal trucks on the road in the Netherlands, apart from Rotterdam. My favorite Terberg though is the N1000 from the early seventies, of which the factory owns one beautifully restored example. @cl82, you're absolutely right. The trucks were sometimes monstrous, but very practical and reliable indeed. -- Last edit: 2009-11-05 22:36:46 |

Still I regret having written the first one of my two comments. Actually I know it's much too harsh, and I just wanted to delete it. |

Well I just had to laugh reading your comment, no hard feelings at all. |

Then it's ok. I stopped smoking a couple of days ago, and due to the withdrawal syndrom I am not the one I used to be at the moment. It's actually some kind of change of personality I'm going through. |
